Emile's has already almost outgrown his trusty tricycle, but we weren't sure he was ready for the next step. So when his friend Tara went on holiday for a few days, she very generously lent us her "walking bike" (hybrid bike-scooter).
This typical example of the quality vehicles those Germans are famous for, allows kids to learn the hardest part of riding a bike - finding their balance. And he mastered it!
So next year when Emile gets his big boy bike: no training wheels for us!

Every day starts out with a brisk walk to the daycare, the park, the store, or the playground ~ depending on what day it is. (But we're always out there by 8.30. Yawnnn).
I'm sure tomorrow will be no exception.

very cute =D It looks like the tricycle is banned to the shed until Céline is old enough! If you all don't mind, tante Eva would love to stop by some time soon! Eefje: we still use the tricycle plenty, don't worry!!! It's still emile's favorite thing to do, and an additional bonus is, he can do this without my direct supervision, and when baby sister is around, too. So it has plenty of mileage in it, yet. ;)
