PARTY! (Part 1)

Yeayyyy! Emile is.....
THREE!!!

The Weber-Fergusons don't skimp on birthday parties.
So here's the report of Emile's birthday, part 1: the neighborhood pals!

First, we brought out the cake, with sparkly candles. You can tell, Emile liked that, a lot.
hmm... or not so much.

Then, out came the decorations. And our little artistes set to work.We stole this idea from Olivia's birthday party last week because Emile loved it so much!
(You can hear us talking about it in the background, plus running commentary on the supercool photo book tante Nicki made.)

And not only did the cake look really great, the kids ate it, too!Yep, all of 'em. Even the littlest one.
The sun came out, and so did the chalks.
Thank you everyone for all the cards and wonderful presents!
Birthday party part 2: tomorrow at the creche. Part 3: with Opa, on Sunday. Part 4: the duo-birthday party, which will also be... goofy baby sister's birthday party part ONE!!
Of course the first thing a girl has to do before her very first birthday party, is... get her hair done!
A visit from hairdresser Holly to tame those wild, curly locks.

And in other news: it's almost Easter, so off we went to Belgium for the traditional easter egg hunt...
Because in Belgium, the chocolate grows on trees!
We found lots of treats and had a great time with Tante Elizabeth, Catherine, Annickje and...Emile's very, very favorite: NONKEL!
(and Oma-lala and Evelyn by skype).

And next up:
Kiekeboe, Céline!! Almost... 1!
Watch this spot for more birthday news coming up, soon!

Well, a fun-filled day! Fantastic. Nice to talk to you yesterday and I'm very happy you like the book. Couldn't really tell from the background what was being said but it sounded complimentary. Looking forward to more about the rest of the month-long festivities. Good job on all the work for the parties.

well well well, what a busy girl Mama's been, organising all those birthday parties.
What fun letting the kids decorate the cake - what a good idea. Why didn't I ever think of that??!
Can't wait to play "kiekeboe" with Céline next week. joepiejoepiejoepie!
Happy Easter all and Bon Voyage to Papa - come home safely, Papa. Please send our best wishes to the lovely Bride!
Lots and lots of love from
Oma!
