Today's events (party, part 3)

Last night Céline obliged mama by sleeping through the night, a very rare yet needless to say very welcome occurrence. Emile is missing his papa, kissing the computer screen when he's on skype, and finding it hard to imagine papa still isn't coming home. When I put him in bed for his afternoon nap he said: en als ik wakker word, is papa weer thuis, he? (and when I wake up, papa will be back again, right?). Hmm... But all in all we are doing well.

And for today's afternoon entertainment program: Opa and Jetty.

As requested, a 'poppenbaby' for Emile

And now for the expression of the day:

Opa is reading Emile's favorite bedtime book Jip & Janneke (a little boy and a little girl who are best friends and get up to all kinds of (very innocent) mischief). Conversation translated from Dutch:
Opa: "Jip & Janneke are good friends, aren't they Emile? Do you have a best friend too?"
Emile: "Ja."
Opa: "Who's your best friend?"
Emile: "Mama!"
=)) This made my motherheart melt, of course.

Finally, here's Céline, 10 mins ago, about to get her night time bottle. So who knows... maybe another peaceful night ahead...?Fingers crossed!
