At 9 months (and 1 day), Emile has had more time being a real live human than a phoetus - something he clearly seems to enjoy! It is increasingly difficult to take a focused picture of him, because he is always kicking his legs, shaking his head, wiggling his toes or waving his arms. In this shot he managed to restrict himself to the latter.
So for this month's 'birthday' photo, Emile isn't doing anything
new, but just what he is so very good at, namely being happy, playful and smiley.
A real little boy, Emile prefers dirty and scruffy to squeeky clean, and doesn't like his mama handling the washcloth very much. Bathtime however is a big party!
Another form of squeeky altogether... an oldie but a goodie:
