Hello 2009!

Happy New Year!
Kicked off in style in Schilde. With (Xmas) crackers,
which Emile found very fascinating. Even when they were all popped.
(Notice the red cheeks!)

On the last day of holiday we went to the Railway Museum in Utrecht. By car to the station and then by train, by bus, and back again by train, and metro.
It was all very exciting!

Emile is seriously into all kinds of vehicles. Here he is with his 'auto parade' of mini motors.
Then back to work and school, but more fun because this year we have a coooold winter. So: ice skating on the canals!

Well, sort of...

Céline also got into the mood for moving
This is not something she does spontaneously though (yet). But it looks good, right?

Brother and sister are seriously musical. Must have been that piano music they enjoyed in the womb.
Quatre mains

First, Emile demonstrates how it's done...

And then Céline goes solo. She turned out to be a prodigy.
One lesson, and then...
Chopin!
Practice makes perfect!

Wow - what a WUNDERKIND! I got the impression that the piano was more Céline's forte than Emile's. But it's good to have a car mechanic in the family!!
Looks like you had a fun Christmas and New Year's holiday. You should take them to the car museum every day, just before bedtime, by the looks of it. "Zonked" is the word that comes to mind.
Thanks, Hummeltje!
