This weekend was Sinterklaas and the kids got all kinds of goodies.
The family doll house, made by their great-grandfather about 60 years ago...
With handcarved furniture. It is awesome.And then, Sinterklaas brought Emile the long, long coveted 'pedals with bike', as he calls it. Just to emphasize which part of the bike was most important.
And, after two practice runs up the sidewalk outside...(good work out for mama)
He went SOLO.
No side wheels. A real bike. And he can do it, all by himself!!!!

How clever of Sinterklaas to find that doll's house their great-grandfather made. It IS great!
And Emile's pedals-with-bike looks very impressive, as does their running mama.
