The rough guide to world swings (part I)

Mama and Céline went on a trip together... all the way to LA! 

Specially for tante Nicki's birthday party!

Céline is in heaven with the combination of doting cousins, many kitty cats to chase and pet, swings right there in the back yard, and an enormous supply of fresh toys. Particularly the doll crib with miniature mobile is a huge hit. 

Céline does interpretive dances to the mobile music, to soothe the dolls to sleep. Very cute. 

She did not sleep one minute during the entire 11-hour flight :s Just a little haggard afterwards...

 So after ample kitty-wrangling, swinging, bike-riding and interpretive dancing, high time for bedtime stories and BED! 

Oh, for American supermarkets...

 Nobel peace prize for whomever designed this awesome shopping cart. 

 And then off to super Balboa park playground for some serious play time. 

Where, by the way, it was 40 degrees C (100F!) in the sun.
Yes Holland, 40 degrees. In November. Seriously. 

But that doesn't deter our little troopers from running their own grand prix around Balboa Lake's finest race course.

And of course the inevitable (because so cute) cousins-in-bath photo! 

 Ella's dream of having a baby sister to carry around finally (albeit temporarily) comes true. Never mind that she's 2.5, and weighs 13 kgs.

 Yes, Céline's feet are firmly off the ground...!
