No video or photo proof (yet), but since yesterday Emile can do something rather brilliant. When mama says 'een', he says 'twee'; then mama says 'twee', and he says 'drie'! Okay, so it's not like he's picking up one, two then three toys or something but to put the number in sequence is pretty darn smart for a almost 1.5 year old, right! (at least the proud mama thinks so)

papa and... papa jr.
We went to the park with the Koppen-Haarsma's - and their superb new camera!
Sander's great photography really captures the likeness between papa and, well: papa jr...
After feeding the duckies... (yes, look - he's standing)
Emile and Olivia play catch around the edge of the (empty) pool!
Thanks to Sander for these great pictures!!

And so does his proud Oma! Nothing short of brilliant!
Goodness, isn't he just the little Marek with Julie's apple-cheeks! Cu-ute :-)
Hey, Mark, why don't you smile like that for me when I photograph you?? What a handsome family.
Don't Olivia and Emile look like they're having fun. OpaJon was afraid they might fall into the pool... I assume it's only 1 ft deep.
p.s. it's not the superb camera which takes the photographs, Julie... it's the photographer.
Well done, Sander. Thank you.
Yes, I was just thinking the same thing. It's like saying, wow, this cake is delicious, you must have a fantastic oven! They are very good pictures in any case. Wow, you can really see how light Emile's hair is. I thought he had dark hair like his Mama and Papa. Yes, very clever, Emile! I am duly impressed.
PS. I still think he looks a LOT like his Mama when she was a baby.
