Different uses for mummy's tummy

In anticipation of Weber-Ferguson number 2, we have not been sitting still (nor has the belly, which - visibly - takes on a life of its own as the baby jiggles about from left to right. And back again). But for a moment we did manage to sit still just long enough to get a snapshot of it:
A big round belly is very practical (well, for everyone but its owner): you can use it as a handy perch to ride around on (Emile). You can sleep on it, nuggle up against it, or climb the mountain while it sleeps and get comfy on the summit (Ziggy). Also fun: you can play it like a bongo (guess who). And sometimes - when you are a very sweet big brother - you kiss it.


You will also notice Emile practicing for the baby on 'popje Renee', the doll that he received from, well, you can guess. Generally he is very fond of popje. He knows that is says 'whaah, whaah', that you then comfort it, and that it like to sleep ('shhh'). But he also likes to take a big bite of its face, or launch it around the room. Oh well. We have 2 more months to get it right!



And every night we read this book. What is it inside that big round belly... a flea? a jellyfish? a monkey? a pony? yes, we really hope a pony...!

Of course we spend plenty of time in the weekend doing boring stuff like shopping to prepare the house for the new baby. But then, we more than make up for it at the playground, at the zoo, in the library, during bike rides, playing with friends...

or wearing politically incorrect tshirts from friends in Madrid! Specially for you, Donaldito. ;)

There, hope you're all satisfied again for the moment. It took met two days to get this post out, chopping up and loading the videos when blogger happened to be working - in between finishing 2 major articles, doing house stuff, sorting finances, taking care of Emile and snagging a few (just a few) hours of sleep. So, we look forward to new posts on all your blogs now, too...! =)
